Some images below of IRW 2016. This was the first time I had been to the IRW since 2011.
I had 2 flights on the Wednesday 24th. A J400 Smokey Sam (David's old level 1 and 2 rocket) and a K1200 white thunder in the Delta Clipper (single stage).
There were a few good flights too with some big M class motors.
Great to see some old friends too. Some links to In-flight, Pad-Cam and Ground launch videos are included.
Ignore the date on the in-flight videos (I forgot to set the date in the camera....doh!)
It took a little while to find Andy's rocket as my beeper was drowning out the sound of his! Both landed quite close to each other. The terrain is not easy to walk through.
Oh dear.....I think I have a pillow stuck up my t-shirt?
It was great to see Marcel after so many years. He is married now too. But, he had a few accidents at IRW and not with rockets, but with cars!
This was the second after his first car was written off by the AA. But the IRW mob managed to push his hire car out of the ditch!
Me and Marcel having a chat after not seeing each other for years. We both have grey hair now! Me the most I think :-(
Andy and I went down to Largs for some very nice fish and chips. Shame this is not now a regular for the IRW.
I do really miss Sean, David (my son) and my Dad at this event.

The rocket reached 3580 feet according to the Gwhizz. This is based on ground level which is 800 feet AMSL. The data below almost corresponds.
One fin was ripped off the Delta Clipper. Lots of force involved to do that an how the body tube survived I don't know?
The last big flight was Supersonic Sindy on an M class motor. This was featured in James May's Toy Story series.
Nice big green flame!
